You turn to Re:ZERO -Starting Life in Another World- and it's obviously an abrupt turn. Natsuki Subaru is a school boy who is magically transported into an unfamiliar fantastical land with no warning. There is no hero's welcome, and no one is there to hand him a quest. He is thrown into this new world bewildered. No typical ikekai intro. Don't expect Subaru to suddenly become powerful and popular. Subaru's disorientation and his first encounter with the mysterious silver-haired girl are the only things that happen for a bit. Evergreen. Boy meets girl, girl helps boy, boy gets into trouble. This is all there is for the moment as a tangible plot, but soon enough, there is a very dark and very somber tone that shows this world is a very dangerous land. This series was initially published in 2016 and wastes no time getting to the dark side of things. It doesn't take a while to reveal that although Subaru is often a mess of a person who is clumsy and sometimes cowardly, he is not your typical main character. From the beginning, you are dropped into the world as Subaru is with the rest of us. It is believed that the first three episodes (which are about 25 minutes each) are very important for viewers in answering the question of if they want to keep watching this series. A lot of people seem to think these episodes are the emotional kick in the gut that so many people need to see in order to appreciate the darker tone and struggle of Subaru.

If the characters and the story in books often trying to be “cool” are boring to you, then you will enjoy this book. As you will enjoy the reality of the world and the main character who is not cool like every other character in every other novel. The issues this character will go through in the story will often lead to sad outcomes, showing how an author intends to push the limits of these characters. But if you like skillfully constructed stories that aren't afraid to leave you feeling emotionally spent, this book is also for you.

When you decide to stay, Re:ZERO begins adding dimension and distinguishing itself from run of the mill portal fantasy. One of the stronger elements is the visual storytelling. Crowd reactions praise good graphics and character designs. The animation shines HD streaming on Pikashow. The story has a vibrant, violent fantasy world. The intense action sequences create a high level of interest because the breakdown of the spells and their mechanics are not explained. This show is not great as background viewing entertainment. The plot relies on subtleties of character behavior, and if you have seen the whole series, you can catch new details by watching it again • relatively easy to binge at 25 min per episode.
